Slide show is the retirement party for Mr. Hogue.  Mr. DeLaCruz read a quote and introduced the guest speakers.  Guest speakers were Beverly Allen (Senator Udall's field representative from Carlsbad ) who read a letter from the senator; Mrs. Maker (School Board President) who read a letter from the Governor; and Allison Shamblin & Emily Smith (Mr. Hogue's daughters) who gave
a heartfelt presentation to their father.   Closing remarks were made by Mr. Hogue and thankful commits from a grateful parent.   Held in the Nature Center at Yarbro Elementary School on Saturday, August 29.

Lovington High School is proud to announce that the 2015 Jack Maddox Distinguished Scholarship recipient is Caden Bailey. A graduating senior of the class of 2016, Caden, by receiving this scholarship, will have a “full ride” – tuition, fees, room, and board to any school he chooses for four years. Caden is the third Lovington High School senior to receive this honor from the J. F. Maddox Foundation (the others being Ryan Roberts in 2010-11 and Chase Bridgforth in 2003-04). The Foundation has been giving these awards annually since the graduating class of 1997.   (For more information click here)
